Making New Fuel Injector Lines
« on: March 02, 2018, 04:12:42 »
I’m wondering if new fuel lines can be made like brakes lines are made.  Anyone know?

Thanks,
Kevin

Not likely you can do it yourself.  These lines are very heavy wall steel. Probably would require a lot of heavy duty specialized equipment. In addition, the ends of the lines are separate pieces. There is probably an OEM manufacturer out there somewhere who does custom work.  Of coarse these would all need to be metric also.

I agree with Joe. There are a lot of tight radius' and the fit has to be right on or you will cross thread the fittings. On my W128 220SE, it has the small "U" shaped injector lines going from the blocks to the injectors. One was slightly bent and I spent about an entire day tweaking it to fit. I cannot even imagine trying to make a new one.

Probably cheaper to buy them from Mercedes.  By the time you bent the lines, fabricated the ends then Brazed them on and plated everything.
