Door cards
« on: April 13, 2018, 10:28:34 »
Hi, as my door cards have seen better days, I'm considering having my upholsterer replace them - I found these back plates on the German eBay:

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Turverkleidung-Mercedes-SL-W113-Pagode-Turpappen-Door-panel-fur-li-oder-re/142457097852?_trkparms=aid%3D555019%26algo%3DPL.BANDIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D43784%26meid%3D53929dfefc104b259ec11885722f6021%26pid%3D100505%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D142457097852&_trksid=p2045573.c100505.m3226

But my question is: do they really fit all years? My car is a 64/65 230 SL with hard pockets

A great weekend to you all :-)

Hey Ulf,

Honestly, I wouldn't use them - since I don't know them (~ this guy). :o

Personally I prefer KHM, I know what I am getting  - for my money.

See here:

http://www.cabrio.de/en/interiors-khm/padding-panels/mercedes-benz-1/113sl/door-panel-113,-hardboard,-pair-detail

First of all I know that KHM (Klaus-Hermann Mayer) is generally providing first class products,
second he has both different ones, early (230/250) and late (250-late/280). The latter ones have all markings for press-outs for either US or Euro doorpanel format.
The earlier ones don't have that since there are no differences between US and non-US.

They're a bit more expensive, I know...,
but nevertheless, I trust them (him) more. Only wanted to do it once - as I did. ;)
That other guy there (Miljkovic or what his name is) doesn't distinguish between early and late and thus, you are getting the wrong/too large cut-outs for your inner door openers.
Personally, I definitely wouldn't want to have that! :-X

Your choice. ;)

Don't ever forget those foils behind the door cards,
or your new ones will soak up (rain) water soon again!
Ask me how I know ....

(These ones worked for me like a charm...

Sort of pond foil, but worked perfect in my case.)

Cheers,
