Seatbelts Correct Webbing
« on: April 29, 2018, 18:56:49 »
Hi guys,

Started with the manual but couldn't find the info I was looking for.
Is there a special webbing related to the year of manufacture on Pagodas whatever brand used?

My car came with two different seatbelts, not really sure which is which. Both are worn out, one is normal webbing that we see today and the other is pebble type. Early 67.

Thanks

Pictures? 😁 Let's see what you are dealing with.

Shake Oyl will reweb but if you have the professional skills I can point you to the webbing source so you can do it yourself.

There are very few things that I wouldn't tackle on my car but sewing the seatbelts I will leave to the professionals.

Correct. "skills" was the operative word.  I changed my post above to "professional skills" to be clearer. This is not a non professional DIY project.

Let's see. Please PM me the source, and maybe he can point me to the right direction concerning the best people other than Snake Oyl (in case the deal falls through).

This all depends on the mfg of the seatbelts installed. If the car was originally a north american import then the seatbelts (lap belts only) would have been installed at the dealer. Many different brands were used prior to 1968. 68 and newer cars had Kangol 3 point belts installed after this.
