Yes Pawel,
I am putting a twin post lift in the rear of the double ended part of the garage. I had wished I had done it for years in my old house but with building a new house and garage, and as I am getting older, it is getting just too hard to lie down and slide under the cars.
Exactly! I also noticed that I move slower and slower for some reason and I need to have better and better reason to get under the car....
Great you have it all figured out - you will enjoy it every day!
Other topic that bothers me every time I do something with the car and is a result of my garage being too small and adopted to needs rather than built for needs, is the air compressor noise. I know it is very basic, but if I planned it, I would have it in a place that is "soundproof". I am also missing a proper workshop table with space to do things on it, space for grinder, vice etc. A free standing bench that I can access from all sides is a beyond reach topic as well.
I asked about the car lift as in my country you have to have a special certificate for a lift foundation. It is best to have it in the design and make sure it is looked at relevant authorities at all proper stages to get this certificate.
The presence of my wife's car in the garage is also quite irritating - it is new, it is not a Mercedes and it is very rarely that anything needs to be done on it and it occupies space. But my wife cooks food for me, so the car is there... Very difficult topic...
