What's the MB part number for the feeler gauge you used for checking the sump/subframe gap?

Which mounts have gone? Engine or subframe (which I assume is weight bearing on the ramp)

Only engine mounts are relevant for this gap since the engine sits on the sub frame.
Failed sub frame mounts will be seen when car is elevated like this as the sub frame hangs from the sub frame mounts and this tests them to their limit.
You will see them either completely separated or showing lots of deep cracks.
I checked my records and they're two weeks inside warranty!

the correct tyre size; 185/14

I could check but from memory over £200 each plus VAT.

It COULD be argued that's not bad as Longstone are selling the MXV-P (with the rub strip) at £214 (inc VAT)

There's always the Coker Company Firestone Phoenix tire which has a similar look to the originals ~$296/tire for whitewalls

I always thought that 185 is a bit small but maybe the original tires had a different aspect ratio than today. For regular tires, I think 195 works better.
