Transmission dipstick

I have a '68 280SL and my mechanic advised me that I should get a new dipstick for the car. I am having issues figuring out what I need as I seem to only find info on "oil" dip sticks. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction for what I am needing?

I have done many searches, here and elsewhere on the web....so thanks for any help

In the EPC for 113044 (US Version) you just have one part number A1162700083 if this is what you are looking for.
And here you can buy it, but I am sure there are suppliers in the US or one of the Members has it.

Yes the "look" of that one is what I think I am after. Now it find it in North  America
