oil pump
« on: August 13, 2018, 20:30:38 »
I am getting ready to send my block to the machine shop. The oil pan is off....removed the two bolts on the oil pump (1 at the block and the other at the extended nut on the main cap). I just want to be sure that I know to remove the oil pump..just in case the shop asks me. What else do I have to do?

Help! Are there any other fasteners or do I have to tap on the oil pump shaft with the drive tang from above?

That’s it.  Just pull it out.  Not too hard.

Twist while pulling and it will come out easily.
