hmm gap between passenger "a" pillar and dash
« on: August 18, 2018, 17:27:20 »
well this was disappointing

I had the dash and "A" a pillars re covered.

I installed both and did not see the gap between the bottom of the "a" pillar and the dash.
I thought this is odd as the dash has a securing screw underneath the fabric below the "a" pillar and the dash curved section.

I guess I will peel back the MB tex and remove the screw to see if I can push the dash up and then make a new hole.

I am confident the "A" pillar is installed correctly

sigh

well
pulled back the mb tex and removed the screw,  I was able to push the corner of the dash up in to place.

I had to enlarge the hole to allow for the metal base to be pushed up ward and then re inserted the screw.

that little project is done.

I did notice a gap between the corner of the dash and the chrome where there is no material.
one of my next projects will be to take some scrap mb tex and cover that small exposed area.
I had thought of just coloring that area with a black or dark blue sharpie but the mb tex will most likely be the best solution...
