There is a special tool for replacing the two on each end of the shift rod. The tool is not necessary but makes the job easier (Arizona Autohaus has tool). Otherwise, you can warm the bushings in hot water or with a hair drier and use a bench vise to and a socket to press them in place. You can remove the center carpet then the shift assembly for better access. If you have the special tool you may be able to install both shift rod bushings from below without removing the shifter and carpet.
When re-installing the shift rod, be sure that the small opening of the bushing is installed on the linkage ball first or it will not stay on. The two large bushings in the shift indicator are more involved but not as critical. Lots of info already on the subject to search-up here.
