Not sure what these are for

Hi ,when i received  my 65 230SL from CA about  3 months ago,
in the trunk it had these 2 small matts, does  anybody know  where  or
what they are for.
Car also has non fitted kinder seat in trunk as well  thank  you  for any answers.

No idea really but maybe you could put them in front of the back tires if you got stuck in the snow/ice?  ;D

Thank you John ,i never thought of that idea, perhaps you are correct.
And yes  love that small town Placerville, wife and i used to go to Lake Tahoe
about  4 or 5 times a year  ,that was a good stop  off for trip back to Sacramento in those days.
Hope the lake is still as clear now as it was in the nineties,  thank you.

Yes, Placerville is quite nice, lovely little place.
I spent a week at Lake Tahoe in July this year. The water is nice and clear clear however, a little on the cold side, but we went swimming anyways. Once your in it is not that bad.
The only problem we had one day was the smoke from the Redding fire was settling over the valley, just one day....
I live in Woodland, about 20 mi. West from Sacramento.

I looked at your picture before reading 49rs post. I would concur, they look like something you could use in the nasty weather. Although I have not seen anything quite like those.
