That is goose neck - early style, isn't it?

Yes,
230ies (W113) always had the Goose neck mirrors -
unless your car was initially delivered to a country without the legislative need requirement  to have outer rearview mirrors (e.g. UK or France back then).
In such a case any factory or aftermarket mirror could have been used later on (e.g. during the 1970ies) when rearview mirrors became mandatory.

Goose neck mirrors can be purchased new from MB (pricey) or as reproductions. You should not pay more than about $$ 75 - 85 for a new repro.

Best,

Achim

I seem to have one in a box from SLS that I ordered 3 years ago and never used.  Is it the same as for an early 111?  I bought it for my 65 300SE LWB but didn't install it.  So I _think_ that's the same mirror as used on a 113...

Scott,

Yes they are identical to the early w111 mirrors.
I bought one myself years ago for a 230 SL that I never ended up installing, decided to put it on my w112 300 LWB last fall.
