Help me read my plugs?

Hello All,

I had some trouble getting my car started today. Actually my fault - -  because I do have the cold start priming solenoid on a hot wired button and after too many "hits" I fouled a couple of plugs. So I (of course) pulled the plugs to take a look.

I have known for some time that it was running too rich. However, it has been performing quite well for a long time with very good throttle response.


The question(s) now is: do I lengthen the "up" rod from the FI pump (to decrease fuel flow) - - - OR - - do I shorten one of the air horn rods to give more air sooner in the torque curve.  - - - OR  - - do I have to fiddle with the star wheel on the pump?

BTW:  I religiously followed the the "Joe Alexander"  method for rigging the push-pull rods when I replaced the engine five years ago - -.

Larry ,incase this helps,
Best in order numbers 4--3--2--5--6--1,
With your car,  with out a cold start  solenoid, it helps to have your car
ready to drive off as soon as it starts,example dont have it in your garage
behind other cars, or some where placed that you have to idle your car,before you
can actually drive it,regards.
