Seeking help on taillamp glue

Can anyone either share their experience or point me to an existing post on the recommended glue for attaching taillamps to the chrome frame?  Mine are coming apart due to age and it looks like they were attached with something like silicone.  As the fit is not precise, this might be a good solution, but I'd welcome some advice from others that might have done this on their own cars.  Thanks in advance for any help.

When I bought mine about three years ago, it came with a large tube of clear silicone adhesive for aquarium work.  It fit into a hardware store stamped metal caulking gun.  It worked great once I got the  damaged original lenses broken out of the frame - not a gentle process.  I don't have a record of the name, but I am sure that an aquarium shop would identify it for you if they don't sell it themselves.

I just found it - Gorilla clear silicone adhesive.

Be sure you use silicone suitable for acrylic bathtubs etc. , because these contain less or no  agressive solvents...

otherwise your lenses could get damaged with haircracks....
