Steering wheel hard to turn
« on: April 25, 2019, 07:28:49 »
Hello to every one,
I face an issue the last 3 months with the steering wheel, doesn't work smoothly and needs more power to steer that used to feel! Additionally I've noticed some drops 5-8 cm diameter  (red oil) on the floor of my garage, coming from the pump and some minor drops from bolt-worm.
I went to the mechanic and told me that we must replace the pump and remanufacture the worm. And the cost will be up to 500-600 Euros.
Any suggestions? Ideas..?
Thanks in advance

i think the advice you got from your mechanic is quite sound..... if you want a short term fix, if it will work, try a hydraulic fluid stop leak additive for power steering..... and top up fluid....
