Subframe Shock Covers - $35 SOLD

I have a set of subframe shock covers that were removed from a clean 1968 280SL. Part number is 1106830110. $55 or Best Offer including shipping within the continental U.S.

Wonder why they stopped putting these on later 280SLs?

I'd like to install these, but don't think it'd be correct for my 1970

I have a set on my late 280SL and I was told they are not correct. They just make the look so much cleaner and keep the debris out of the upper shock mount hole.

Just a bit of diversion on the topic - But yes, the subframe covers are not correct for any 280 SL, as a matter of fact, they were deleted at 250 SL VIN ending 4190 , per the listing done by Frank Mallory, based from Engelen.

Well, the word is cost reduction...
There were a number of changes with this aim, on later W113 Pagoda cars.
In fact, over the whole production range of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars.
