We are now nearing the event (20 Days to go) and some questions are being asked in the original thread from Dan Caron ….

Note that Hugh has provided his e-mail address in Reply 81. If you are going to the London Club Dinner on Friday Night please contact Hugh at the aforementioned e-mail address and he will direct you to make your payment before August 15, 2019. Hugh has to prepay in advance one (1) week before the dinner.

To date, there are 19 Pagoda Members that have indicated there intention to Attend Dan’s CLANS II Event in August. Only 9 Members so far have noted: “I will attend” (please see below). Those 9 members (as I can make out), also plan to attend the Friday Night Dinner,

9 Members plan or are planning to attend.

Joe (not sure what days), Marcus, George (looks forward to it), 1979speedster, Steve (Love to attend), James (plans to fly), Mike (Not sure due to health issues). Mark and Frank

1 Member made clear that he only will attend “Event C”

We Plan to assemble at the Tim Hortons Coffee Parking lot between 5 and 5:30 pm

I have about 45 - 50 attending my place on Saturday afternoon. There could be 15 - 20 more with local friends, family, and some American iron from our local car cruise.

Sunday afternoon at Craig Campbell's shop is out so I'm trying to come up with something else.

1 ) Nearby Rondeau Provincial Park is an option. They have a nice driving trail ( paved ) through the park and an interpretation center. There are also some nice beaches. Kind of a quiet place to relax.

2 ) A bit of a drive north of Rondeau Bay is Uncle Tom's Cabin near Dresden. This is the site of the famous book about escaped slaves and the underground railroad during the 1850's. There would be a small fee when you enter for either venue - probably 10 dollars or less. There is a small local place called Burn's restaurant in Dresden that has really good roasted chicken. We can stop there for dinner if that's what you would like to do.

3 ) I can look around Chatham and see if I can find anything that works for us.  There is also Greenview Aviaries near Blenheim which is a small zoo. This is not far from Erieau.

I'll go with what looks best and what a majority wants to do.

Dieter, I have been e-mailing Dan directly.  I will be attending event C as I have prior commitments for the Thursday and Friday.  I'll drive out early Saturday morning.  Looking forward to it for sure.

Hi Dieter,

Christian Beaudoin and I plan to leave Quebec City at 7 AM on Thursday (maybe earlier, if possible).  It is supposed to take us 9 hours and 20 minutes, plus gas and food stops.  That yields about 5:30 PM arrival.

That cuts it close to meet at Tim's by 5:30 PM.  We'll try, but our most probable result will be to meet you all at the car show site.  Don't wait for us, but saving us a parking space would be appreciated.
