Dear all,
Before 8 years we've got data card for 230SL from Mercedes Classic center.
According data card motor number has -10-, which is means car with manual gearbox,
but number stamped on the motor has - 12- automatic gearbox.
My car has automatic gearbox, so mistake must be in data card.
As I know this is very common mistake in Porsche, but it is not possible for Mercedes.
What is your opinion ?
Also , in the middle part of metal plate (you can see it as attached file) is written TYP of the motor.
It is become faded during the years and I'm not sure about type,
it must be M 127 II or M 127 III. (M 127 is readable, but rest is not) How can I obtain such information ?
Best Regards
Ivan
