Airconditioning set 280SL does fit in a 230SL?
« on: September 13, 2019, 14:43:37 »
When I buy a complete set of airconditioning parts from a 280SL, does it fit in a 230SL or are some parts different (for example the pump mounting at the engine)?
Again something else.

The pump mounting to the engine should be the same. The 230SL just has three mounting bolts for the crankshaft pulley. The 250 and 280 have six, but it should still work ok.  Be sure to make sure your crankshaft vibration dampner bolt is correctly torqued  or damage to the crankshaft can occur if it becomes loose.
