glove compartment door - a little off alignment
« on: February 21, 2005, 17:32:17 »
Hi guys,

The glove compatment door of my pagoda is a bit off alignment. Whats the best way to get this to fully straighten up. I can jiggle it a little bit so I don't now if I would need new screws or washers, though it does not look like it had washers in the first place.

Thanks,

Joelj

Trial and error, I have been working on mine for going on two years now. The row of screws that hold in the bottom hinge are where I have been trying to adjust. Also, make sure you have the spring and forks in place to hold the door. If you have the rubber grommets on each side of the door, be sure these fit into the holes at each side of the dash panel. The switch that turns the interior light on and off, also needs to be in the proper location. I trimmed the leather/vinyl that wrapped around the flanges so that there was only material on the front (3M contact adhesive to secure the material to the metal).
