This car has spent entire life in Dallas TX. After watching it being restored and seeing problems with past repairs before my ownership I don't think any Dallas Mercedes shop in Dallas will ever see this car as long as I own it. It sat in my garage waiting to be restored.

Example of "repairs" in Dallas, vent controls were "fixed" in past by cutting cables!!

I think for oil changes I will have to drive to Gus's shop in Houston. At least nice day trip!

Changes from oem made to car:

1) converted R12 to 134
2) rear end 3.92 to 3.27
3) Leather
4) Choc soft top in place of Dark Green (too much green in my view)
5) Replaced windshield glass with MB glass replaces us glass
6) Points gone

Car has spot welds and all numbers match except engine. MB replacement  from 1970's
Notch on fenders gone from earlier repaint job prior to my purchase.

Should be done in Nov.

As noted earlier after seeing what Gus had to fix past owners must have treated car like a $5,000 used Chev . Hope to pass car on as close to OEM as possible. I plan on driving and enjoying for rest of my life ( Iam late 60's)

What color is your new interior?   It’s lovely and a good match to the exterior.
