My wife made these soft top combo straps for PagodaFest. She has a couple of them left.

When you replace your soft top and you still have the original straps you will find that the elastic is shot and the foam on the back has disintegrated after 50 years of use.

These types of straps are sold by a couple of the usual vendors.

These are of high quality and even include the nice shiny rivets that need to be replaced. The old ones will have to be drilled out.

The other vendors do not include the rivets.

The new 2020 pricing is as follows:

US - $55 (includes shipping)
Canada - $65 (includes shipping)
Europe - $70 (includes shipping)
Australia - $70 (includes shipping)
Anywhere else is $50 plus shipping.

There must have been a lot of good little pagoda girls & boys this year that received new soft tops

My wife received several requests all at once over the holidays wanting to buy these soft top combo straps.

So we commissioned Santa's elves (They wanted over time

) to make another small batch. We have 3 sets left. Pictures are at the top of this thread. Rivets are included.

What do they do?

The straps provide additional support to the soft top fabric keeping it taught. This reduced noise due to wind buffeting. They also ensure the bows are locked in their proper positiond when the top is up.

When the soft top is put up the straps pull bow #3 (counting from back) forward creating creating more tension in the fabric.

When folding down the soft top the elastic pulls back bow #3 (counting from back) for proper storage.

Over the years the elastic wears out and won't pull back bow #3 automatically when stowing the soft top. You have to manually move the bow back to its proper stowing position. The foam padding also turns to dust. The straps maybe stained due to water leaks.
