pagoda grill star for sale

I saw someone selling reproduction  Stars for the center grill .  He said he commissioned a metalsmith but had to buy a dozen and still had a few left for sale at $188.  Does anyone else recall seeing this item available and can provide contact info?  Thanks

Well, I'm sure MB would like to see his product. They pay special attention to repro grill stars.

Years ago--and I mean maybe 15 or so, there was SOMEONE (I do not know who) who had these duplicated in cast brass, and was selling them "raw"; in other words, you need to really clean and polish them in order to then send it out for chrome plating. There were a few available on the "black market" under the counter so to speak, but I never actually saw one just heard about them...

And yes, Dr. Benz has it right. If those lawyers ever found out...

I saw one of them and it was as heavy as a boat anchor. About as rough too......

I saw this for sale in Italy yesterday.  The dealer was a German Vendor, Mercedes Benz Ersatzteile.  Email Address on business card is Mhaeberle@gmx.net from Brackenheim. I understood the asking price as Euro 2800.

I have no connection with this vendor.
