MB Recommended Coolant Confirmation

I realize a lot was discussed about it with several codes given. I wanted to check what is available at my local dealer and I would like to kindly request confirmation or direction:

1. I took the codes from old posts on forum: Q 1-03-0002 or BQ 1-03-0004.
2. I took those to the dealer and they came back with replacement product: 0009890825, which is MB 325.0 blue coolant, anticorrosive nitrite-free. With 10 at the end of material number it is 1.5l container, with 11 at the emd it is 5.0l.

Is this the one we should use?

Here is the product that matches your part numbers that you pulled from the old posts. It's the one I use.  You can see the cross reference part numbers but I don't see your new PN that you got from the dealer.  Maybe it's really new?

If you read the description it does talk about the 325.0 spec.

I think the specs sheet is important - MB 325, so this should be it. Our Maintenance manual also states MB 325.

Just to add: our Maintenence Manual is, actually, very practical in this as it states the types but also capacities of various liquids. Very good material.

Many of the manufacturer specs for fluids and such are governed and directed by environmental issues which have to do with proper disposal, not necessarily technical requirements.

Just cured myself from BMW and my wife also cured herself last year experiencing herself how low quality these cars are.

I know somebody who's  old Jaguar had cooling problems after serious power tuning.

After trying all kind of solutions including designing and fabricating a high duty waterpump , they found this super cooling coolant.

Then during racing-event a coolant hose burst and coolant spilled all over the engine caught fire.

Yes inflammable coolant , the cooling funtion aldow was superb but...

Might be wise to check if you are gonna use special brands of coolants....

the last time i bought coolant from the dealer it was blue not the orange color.

I asked Tom at the classic center about it,   only the blue is available and he said if i use the mb blue it shoud be just fine.

In the EPC you also have red (could be what you call orange?). But this MB 325 is the blue one.

I did a quick test with some coolant test strips and I found that the MB blue coolant was exactly the same in all areas except one which was the additive to keep acidic levels normal. MB coolant was much better in only this area which should allow for longer drain intervals and better protection overall.

When racing motorcycles, we face the issue of fluid spills on the track at a crash. We are not supposed to use glycol-based radiator fluid for liquid cooled engines. I use plain water and a product called "WatterWetter" in my Ducati. It lowers the coolant temperature significantly.
