In Palm Beach
« on: January 27, 2020, 15:07:58 »
I was taking my car out for an early morning coffee yesterday when I spotted this gorgeous beige 280 parked on Worth Avenue, in Palm Beach.  So I pulled mine up behind it and snapped a photo of the two cars.

I miss Palm Beach. The Pagoda's 'natural habitat' along with the Riviera, Beverly Hills and a number of other places. I remember the days (1985) when a parking ticket on Worth Avenue was $5 and so it was almost cheaper not to feed the meter. My downstairs neighbour had given her Pagoda to her son and he just drove it into the ground, money no object. My favorite words were "Here's your Pina Colada Mr Klumper" while lounging poolside at the Breaker's Beach Club.

I hope Pagodas will continue to grace the Palm Beaches for decades to come.

The parking tickets are a bit higher these days.  And there are no meters on Worth Avenue, although they are talking about installing them.

The Breakers' Beach Club is an awesome place.  Heck, the entire Breakers is awesome.

I drive my Pagoda all around the island, and there are several others that I've seen.
