It surprises me on how few cars ( 113 ) do not have the original dust cover cap.
Ive been on a mission to find one, occasionally you see one on Ebay .

I guess the question is, why owners failed to return to car once removed.

Perhaps the mechanics expressed how much a pain in the butt they were to deal with and convinced the owners??
