-$6,500 USA dollars.
- Car has a Georgia title and was last registered in 2010.

- 119 ivory interior with kinderseat. dash wood and center console in good condition.
- Converted to power steering.
- Kuhlmeister air conditioning, (not Installed) with both condenser coils, also a spare Frigeking under-dash assy.

well the response to my ad was quite unexpected.
my inbox is jammed with replies and I will reply to them all in the order they came in by the time stamp.

just a few answers to the most common questions.

the car has not been started since it was last registered in 2010

NO! it is not in turn key and drive-away condition.

Rust is the reason the project stalled,

the car is in rural Oconee County, Georgia about 90 miles east of the Atlanta Airport.

The car is up on jackstands, the dashboard is disassembled for repainting and is in primer. the windshield and chrome trim around frame are removed.

Gas tank and radiator were drained before car went into storage. I have not tried to start it since.

I know the price is below market. This is mainly because there isn't much I can do to market the car properly for a top dollar sale.

It has stopped raining and i will shoot a walk around video this afternoon.

Thank you for all of your replies and interest

Hi Al,
too bad, I was hoping that one day you would post a video driving your 230SL around the countryside with the Knack blaring "mu-mu-mu-my-pagoda" again. 😢
Can you put a requirement on the sale that it shall not be dismantled and sold for parts?
In any case, continue to hang out here!

Hi Alan,

Just noticed your sale pending. Here in the UK Historic's auctions has just sold possibly the world's rustiest project 230 sl for £24,000. Really can't find anything positive to say about it whatsoever. In my opinion bringatrailer.com is a great US auction site and should your sale pending fall through i would definitely give it try.

Good luck,
Matt
