anybody have good experience with a certain brand or have a recommendation for a cover to pamper my pagoda looking for an exterior cover (even though it wont be used as such)

I have had very good experience with the Noah fabric car covers. These are available from a number of different vendors. I bought mine from Griot's Garage some years back and they have held up well. They are acceptable for outdoor use (and I have used them as such on rare occasions. Mainly they are the pajamas for the cars asleep in the garage.
