MrFatboy, that link is for an actual injector.  I think he was looking for the seal ring for between the injector and the cylinder head.  But, the listing does make mention of the seal ring over to the right in small print.  Part number N007603-014100.

The last time I ordered these from Mercedes I received aluminum seal rings.  Absolutely useless.  The aluminum is too soft, it splits when you tighten the injector, and the injectors end up vibrating loose.   Always use copper if you can find it.

14 x 18 x 1 copper seals.  Available at pretty much any auto parts store.  OR on Amazon as a set.

I agree and if you work on these cars at all, having a seal ring kit is the way to go. Frustrating when all you need is a cheap seal ring to finish a repair and you don’t have it.

I have an entire drawer in my workbench dedicated to "Kits".  Screws, nots, washers, grease fittings, O-rings, vacuum fittings etc.

Thanks to this post I was able to order the correct size seals and I am now embarking on replacing my injectors with new ones which have sat on the workbench since Christmas.

Cheers,

There is this gentleman on youtube, Car Wizard. He says he uses only the green orings for all purposes, as they are made of better material. What is your, professionals, view on this?

I cannot open the O-ring guide on my IPAD, but I can tell you with 100% certainty, there is not ONE material that is compatible with all of the fluids (including air and vacuum) in an automobile. Using just one material is foolish. Not sure what the green is and there are not necessarily standards for color. You really can’t go by color alone. There are super compounds that may get close, but why not use the best suited material for the longest life?

Using a compatibility chart is easy and works every time. Probably would be a good idea to post one of these charts on this site in the Tech manual as this topic frequently comes up. I have been around rubber and urethane for 40 years now, and there are some industry secrets, but using a compatibility chart is a no-brainer.

Thank you and thank you for the handbook.

Green orings were those used in the air conditioning systems that is how he was describing it. You can but sets of various sizes of these green orings, just like sets of oil resistant orings (usually black).
