What have I?
« on: May 06, 2020, 08:51:19 »
Bit of a conundrum here, 190 ponton that I'm working on,  it seized the rear main  bearing, crank grind and new shells sorted that, there's a but of work to be done on the cylinder head, but on looking up niemollers parts list the ponton should have rocker shafts but this head has ball and socket rockets same as the pagoda engine. Pictures attached.
So what have I!

What you have is correct.  Niemoller is notorious for posting incorrect pictures and descriptions.  In the picture below is the valve train for an M-121.927 engine.  They do not have rocker shafts.

Wouldn't that be a 928 engine?

The M-121.928 engine doesn't have rocker arm shafts, either.
