Was looking to see if any body knows of an old-school Mercedes mechanic/shop in the DFW area. I used to have my 65 230 SL serviced by Arthur's Mercedes Repair shop in Carrollton, TX, almost 15 years ago... Arthur's shop no longer exists.  I've actually done most of my work myself over the years... replacing hoses, bushings, fluid changes, new shocks, brakes, fuel tank etc. I enjoy taking things apart and then putting it back together. I learned the basics on this very car when I was a kid.

I haven't attempted anything too difficult, but would like to know that I have a "real" mechanic in the area to use as a safety net, in case I end up with extra parts or brake something that I can't just krazy glue back... I can't see myself tasking the car to the local MB dealership to get worked on. I have sneakers older than any of their mechanics.  Doubt they  even have a timing light in their shop.

Anyway, just joined the group as a full member. Looking forward in picking you guys' brain on the W113.
