Intermediate Horn Bracket (NLA) Specs

Since I have one of these in my possession for the next couple of days I thought I would document the dimensions .  They are NLA.

Here are pictures and measurements just in case you need to make one.

Intermediate Horn Bracket (NLA)
Driver Side Only
Used if car has power steering
230 SL & 250 SL (Maybe very very early 280)
Driver side should have welded bracket to chassis, this immediate horn bracket,
laminated isolation bracket, then horn

Please let me know if I need to add more information or correct anything.

Are you referring to left hand drive or right hand drive cars?

LHD.  I don't know what is correct for RHD.  I would like to hear about RHD to clarify the doc.

Doesn't matter, both have the same part number, that is, all RHD automatic cars and RHD 230SL manual transmission cars with power steering have this bracket, and all LHD 230SL cars with power steering. The part number is: 113 540 02 73.
In the 230SL spare parts list (edition C)  it is noted as "bracket to bracket".
In the 280SL spare parts list it is shown in the drawing as R145.

I knew that.....I was trying to provoke the very response you gave because I wasn't anywhere close to my documentation, but you were, so thank you for "taking the bait", so to speak.

My apologies.  I didn't mean to lose anyone.  In MRFATBOY's original post he stated "Driver's side" without indicating left hand drive or right hand drive.  I knew that regardless of which side the steering wheel was on the horn bracket would still be mounted in the same place.  Being away from home I couldn't make reference to the proper literature like you did.  So when I asked  "Are you referring to left hand drive or right hand drive cars?" the intent was two fold.  ONE was to make readers think critically, and TWO to hopefully have someone post the information like you did since I couldn't.....which I would need to have done had I answered the question I had asked.  Provocation or because I'm a Rebel without a Cause?  BOTH.  haha

Essentially, you helped all of us out.    That's what I was thanking you for.
