WTB Passenger Side Vent Window, W111 Coupe
« on: May 29, 2020, 18:45:50 »
I need a passenger (right) side vent window for a 1969 280SE W111 Coupe.  Just the separate vent (moveable) section, not with the entire mounting frame system.
It should look like the attachment (only w/o the broken tab).  Need decent chrome, with the original glass.

It looks like you need the right side vent window with green tinted glass.  (all very important details).  If you say passenger side we have no idea if the passenger side is on the left or the right, since you could have a right hand drive car.  Regardless, I can't help you because I only have whole assemblies available.  However, you can still buy just the glass and chrome frame separately from Mercedes.  Part number 111-725-52-09.  It currently retails for $535 and wholesales for around $320.  Obviously, that may be a last resort, but that option is there if push comes to shove.  :)

Any chance you can find a REALLY good welder? I am sure that is cast garbage metal, but some of these guys can work miracles. I have a such a welder that works in aerospace and welds .031" aluminum sheet without distortions. Just a thought......

The broken tab can be drilled and replaced with a pin.

That would be my guess as to what's broken. I believe that part may be cast brass and the pin would be metal.
