Once upon a time.... in Hollywood
« on: June 08, 2020, 07:30:38 »
Watched this last night - too long but really enjoyed it (beautifully crafted but Tarantino being a bit over-indulgent as a film nerd) and there's a scene in the first quarter where Sharon goes to the Playboy Mansion (Steve McQueen is standing outside)

I thought I saw a silver Pagoda driving up to the mansion in the background.
Indeed, if you like your car porn of a certain vintage, it's a brilliant film (and various sites are out there detailing the cars used - eg Tarantino's dad had a karmann Ghia

I completely agree.  Much car porn (generally tastefully done) and visually captivating, particularly if you are a fan of Hollywood of the era.  But too long and overindulgent.  I also think there was a Pagoda in that scene.
