Yes the auction has ended but they have listings every now and then.

These Bilstein shock absorbers seem to be a good price.

MB Australia wants AUD$464.00 EACH Bilstein shocker (that is AUD $1856.00 for 4).
I enquired from this company and they said freight would be USD $125.00 to Australia.
The total price of everything including freight and converting to Australian dollars would be AUD$575.00 a total saving of AUD$1281.00

Is there any wonder I shop globally on the internet?

i know it sounds crazy but i only have the number. they are really helfull and make sure you order the stearing shock at the same time it is only like 20$
by the way loooove the shocks

I wanted to relay a positive experience with this dealer. I just got a set of Bilsteins from him and am thrilled. I ordered them on the phone on Monday afternoon and they were in my hands on Tuesday. At $65 each, the price was even lower than what my mechanic pays for them.

Your comment on shopping globally made me smile  
I am restoring a big old BMW 3.0Csi right now and I found that parts that are either "no longer available" or a stunning price here in the UK are available in Germany!
So I was pretty nervous about ordering parts, mainly panels, from them but I did and in less than a week the parts turned up, beautifully packed, no damage and the pieces NLA are original parts with BMW Mobile tradition stickers on them!! Prices were good too, especially with the current £ - Euro exchange rate.
Will I use them again? - yes!

So I am beginning to wonder if the UK BMW parts suppliers are just lazy or more worrying part of the "rip off" Brit culture?

I think it's fair to say that BMW's support for its older cars is horrendous. Many badly needed parts are no longer available, quality is totally inconsistent, and prices are consistently atrocious. Plus, many parts seem to dart back and forth between being NLA then back in production once again. It's as if they can't make up their mind about some parts.

Their equivalent of the Classic Center is known by many as "BMW Immobile Traditions" with good reason.

I like the nick name for BMW MT  
your right about BMW, especially on the panels front [!]
Though having dug deep as it were many, many modern BMW mechanical/electrical/suspension parts will swap right on to older models Hence my 1974 Csi will end up with bits from 1980 - 1990 cars! and basically you will not be able to tell the difference!
I want a nice looking car that is a daily driver, carefully upgraded, such as fitting ABS, and reliability.  

MB is currently much better than BMW in supporting older models, but recently I have noticed that BMW has recognised, like MB, it's a huge market that makes lots of money (scary MB prices) hence some BMW stuff is making a comeback
Companies such as Morgan, and RollsRoyce recognised this years ago and have built up a dedicated following because you can get a left handed what not for a 1954 Morgan or roller!

Fortunately I saved lots of money buying parts from the USA when I had the rear axle rebuilt because MB caught up with me when they did the job by charging me for 29 hours labour at $102.00/hour.
