Fuel shutoff solenoid
« on: November 25, 2020, 00:29:12 »
I have a 1969 W113 with a standard 4 speed transmission and it is a US vehicle.

the question is in reference to the wiring harness.  the color wiring harness wiring diagrams do not include emissions from what I can see.

I am trying to determine the wire for the Fuel shutoff solenoid on the mechanical fuel injection pump.   It is the lower one of the 2.

any input would be greatly appriciated.

I have just added a wiring diagram for your car that shows the connections to the solenoid (#44). You can download the PDF here:
https://www.sl113.org/wiki/Electrical/WiringDiagram
It is not in color but should help you determining the wire identity.

Last time my car was at Dr. Benz some years back, he removed the connection to the solenoid as "unnecessary".
