Driving tours during COVID
« on: December 12, 2020, 21:08:38 »
One of the advantages of membership in a number of car clubs is that there have been multiple opportunities for socially distanced driving events available from time to time this year.  We've exercised our MGB-GT and M.G. TF at various M.G. Car Club, Shenandoah Valley British Car Club, and Austin Healey Club events. The organizers of the Alexandria Festival of Speed and Style did a driving tour from Alexandria, VA to Solomon's Island, MD recently that included a stop at the Patuxent Naval Air Museum. Cars included a bunch of Porsches, a couple of Corvettes, a Mazda, a Fiat, an Alfa, a Jaguar and my Pagoda.  The Museum management opened up the outdoor display area for participant parking, resulting in some great car/plane photo opportunities.
