For 113043, engine 129.982 I have:

A 129 016 13 20 replaced by A 129 016 15 20 CYLINDER HEAD GASKET

Not available, the system says.

For low compression ratio:

A 129 016 14 20 replaced by A 129 016 16 20, also not available at MB.

Is it worth to buy genuine mercedes ? I did the mistake of buying some genuine Mercedes parts and I found out that the manufacture was not mercedes but other companies , like Ate for brake pads . Maybe the oem supplier for Mercedes for head gasket is Elring , so you will have an elring gasket with mb logo. What do you advice ? Oem always Or genuine mercedes ?

mauro, Daimler do not produce a lot of car parts. Most of them are produced by specialized manufacturers. But what Daimler have is the quality requirements and quality control. It woks in 95% of cases. It almost always works for rubber parts. I buy from Mercedes unless price difference is not reasonable. It is also good to have markings on the parts - if they are there. I experienced several times, e.g. Bosch is not the same as Bosch for Mercedes in case of distributor caps. There are many schools on that there and it is quite a vast knowledge on what to buy.

On head gasket: I would buy from Mercedes (and I did for several cars) because price is only 10-20% higher and I can return them very easily if I buy wrong type. But it is perfectly fine to buy Elring (who produce them for Mercedes).

I knew you would ask it and I knew I may not have definite answer for you there.

First step would be to check there: https://www.sl113.org/wiki/Engine/CylinderHead

And then we will see.

Yes, not available, but it is good to ask. There was a shortage of head gaskets recently on the market. You would need to look around in the internet stores. Most of the good internet stores will show producers part numbers when you look for a part with MB part number. This info can also be on the forum - you would have to search it. Or maybe someone has it at hand to help.

I just looked at SLS - looks like there is something there.

I think so.

Besides - I think you have a chance to find Elring, no chance for one form MB, I think.

Yes. Elring was/is the original equipment manufacturer for Mercedes. The contract for exclusive supply has expired, so Elring is free to sell their products in the aftermarket.
A headgasket is usually not rocket science and there are also Victor Renz gaskets which are perfectly fine.
Usually, there is (at least for the M130-983), a compression ratio number cast on the head. Just above the head casting number.
If it is not there, it is very likely a low compression head.

Hi guys , I was wondering if the original mercedes head gasket is made all by metal or is metal only in the cylinder . From the first picture of this topic , it seems that the gasket it’s made all by metal and maybe has better quality and resistance .
