Unknown function of door part
« on: February 04, 2021, 20:12:20 »
I am reassembling my doors and have encounter a part that I am unable to figure out what function it serves.  In the red circle of the attached photo you will see a short metal tang with a screw in it. Does anyone know what purpose this serves? It looks like the screw is supposed secure some other part to the tang, although I do not have any other part in my door parts bag. Would appreciate any help on this.

Soooooo-- it is the weather strip that it holds in place.  I had not fitted the weather strip yet so that is why I was clueless.

Thanks fit the help.
