Last year I renovated the winding/sliding mechanism on both windows. Because it required regluing the metal jaws that are part of this mechanism on both windows, I had to take out both of them out and put them back in. I’m not sure what would qualify for a 10, as I’ve never attempted really difficult operations, but there is nothing difficult about it, you just have to be careful not to break the glass or damage the paint on the doors, and patient when adjusting the windows to fit both hard and soft tops, which requires a lot of trial and error. Probably the trickiest part of it all is getting the clips that hold the trim and brush lips at the top of the doors off without damaging the paint. Nothing technically difficult, but a bit tense. I’d say it’s between 2 and 3, if changing a lightbulb or a fuse is a 1. But your nerves have to be well rested 😉
All the information and tips to do it are in the forum posts and Technical Manual.
