If the transistorized ignition is still hooked up you should have 2 resistors. One on the bracket for the hood prop and one down near the coil. If memory serves the upper one on the bracket is blue and the lower is silver. Also look where the green wire from the distributor goes. If it goes under the battery that is the right coil. If it goes to the coil that means the transistorized ignition has been removed and that is the wrong coil. For what it is worth it is pretty easy to restore the blue coil. Copies of the logos are a available on this site in the technical manual. You can print them on sticker vinyl and the paint is available in cans from Rustoleum. The color escapes me but I can post it here if you want. It would be a good little restoration project. Remove it, sand it, paint the blue, clean up the top, light coat of clear over the whole thing and 2 new nuts and washers Regardless, save the old one. So many transistor ignition cars have had the system removed that the parts were some of the hardest to find in my entire restoration.
