Last weekend we successively lived
Earthquake in the Kermadec islands followed by tsunami alert concerning all the territory during 3 stressful hours.
Fortunately we finally had 70cm and no damage.
That was on Friday.
On Saturday the tropical storm called Niran observed since several days on the east Australian coast became a tropical cyclone and hit the New Caledonian coast at the stage of very intense cyclone category 4 around 5pm.
Fortunately we had time to prepare ourselves for that event and there was much material damages but no death.
Many people hurt by glass broken or cut during recovery and cleaning.
I had to go to the clinic to repair what could be repaired I was a bit busy.
Then Sunday rised and began like a nice sunny day.
Unfortunately at the end of the day we were warned that the Coronavirus had crossed the sanitary frontier and was running across the country since several days.
We were so far one of the rare COVID free places in the world.😢
Now we are locked down and have forced free time.
The good thing is that I could get my pagoda back home before confinement.
I m happy to take care of her.
Helps me to face the New Caledonian blues...
Stay safe everybody.
