W113 US Spec Headlamp Surround

Hello,

I am looking for a headlamp surround Type AC for my ex-US 230SL (see photo).

One of mine was cracked (the plastic is 55 years old and the narrow part at the top brittle), and I never got round to fixing it before a section broke off (probably caught on the cover I use when it's outside), and I don’t have it to glue back on.  The 2nd photo shows how it is now.

I have looked at the usual websites and wondered if anyone has one spare (happy to swap a handful of hen’s teeth for it).

These appear rather frequently on ebay.com. I am surprised that the asking price by some sellers for the US version is close that of authentic euro versions. Just search "W113 headlight"

Hi, yes I did find one in the US on eBay but as you say it was very nearly the price of a European version 😒
I’ll keep looking.
