Mechanical Injection Pump seals supplier
« on: June 13, 2021, 11:36:39 »
Dear Friends

I have been talking to my mechanic and we want to change some internal seals on the mechanical fuel injection pump on some of my cars to avoid fuel passing to the oil lubrication system.

There are many suppliers on internet which sell complete rebuilt kits for 100 to 250 usd, but we want to find the source or a place where to buy just some parts circled in red in the picture attached below.

Could someone give us a clue of who might be this supplier?

And also indicate which is the common name people give to the part we want.

Best regards

Check valve seals?

Mercedes dealers, PN A 001 997 30 40, ca $8 per piece, 72hrs availability in my geography.

Just found this as well, Bosch PN 1 410 206 020.

As for the parts overall: for me it worked to use Bosch dealers/shops.

Whatever is available at Mercedes, I tend to buy from there as I have no shipping cost, can easily return the part and price is not that far from ebay or other sellers. Mercedes stock those parts, that might be used for FIP job listed in BBB, so not all the parts, but some are there, surprisingly. Some NLA, unfortunately.

There may be two different versions of that seal?  I seem to recall a smaller one up until the ball check valves in mid 69 (?) and a larger one from then on.  If you go to mercedes they should be able to get some for you.

Sure, no problem, but this system does not work by years.

To be sure to give you the correct part number I need either the first 6 digits of the engine number or the first 6 digits of the VIN.

I did some guessing:

Engine M189 for W109-66: if this is M189.988 for W109.015, then PN is A 002 997 14 40, part unknown (means you have to ask about it), it is a different construction of the fitting, without a separate check valve; you would need to have the Bosch parts list (I have it for R25) and look for it at Bosch; in our manual I think there is some info regarding when these fittings changed

Engine M127 for W111-61: the only W111 I found with M127 was W111.014 with M127.982, but this engine had 2-section FIP and I do not see this seal there. If this is M127.982, then PN is A 002 997 17 40, $10, 72 hours availability. I do not know if this car had that engine...

Engine M129 on w111-250Se 67: if it is M129.980 for W111.023 or W111.021 - I need to know the VIN, there were changes identified by the VIN number

And late M130 69: for 130.983 it is what I wrote in the previous post. For others I would need 6 digits - there were changes by engine number for several M130 subtypes.

Enclosed in pdf. Maybe helpful.

My experience is: you call the Bosch dealer, give FIP designation and explain what you need or give them part number and if it is available, they sell and send it to you.

I order from MB anyway what is there as it is faster, easier and I can easily return it.

In one of the case I could not find Bosch FIP designation. There used to be this electronic Bosch catalogue in the internet on their pages, where you punched in the car make and model and it showed you the entire equipment list. It is gone, but Bosch dealers have it (I just had to press them a bit), so I hoe this way you can identify the FIP, if you lost its plate.

Interesting: for W113 all subtypes have assigned engine type in the EPC. For the W109, 111 or 112 you gave me - none of them had engine type assigned, so I had to figure out engine type and look for the FIPs by engine number only. You may want to check if I used the proper engine numbers.

I am also enclosing FIP part list that I have at hand. It is just some of the FIPs (not only R25), but that is what I have.

Where to buy in USA. Mechanical Injection Pump seals KIT
« Reply #11 on: October 10, 2021, 12:07:51 »
Dear friends

Anyone knows where to buy this mechanical fuel injection rebuilt kit in USA.  As you know I live in Venezuela, and purchases are easier when they are done in United States instead of Europe.

This is what I want to buy:
https://mercedes-classic-parts.com/product/afdichtset-brandstofinjectiepomp-bosch-f026t03029/

Listed for Eur 83 plus tax

I found this exact kit in vintage euro parts, for a much higher price than in the supplier in Denmark.

This what I found similar in vintage euro:

https://vintageeuroparts.com/index.php/chassis-number/w113/injection-pump-repair-kit-m127-981-m189-for-bosch-mechanical-fuel-injection-pump.html?___SID=U

Listed for usd 200.

Any guidance for solving this purchase will be much appreciated.

Best regards
L.peterssen

There are many on eBay usa, but all the adds are from vinntageeuroparts at usd 200 plus shipping instead of the price listed on the Denmark vendor for same thing at euro 83.

This topic is bound to be interesting to all users of Mxxx engines that use Bosch MIP. Is there a list somewhere of the years, models, engines and injection pumps used?
