The Pagoda is more or less a 'staple' on BAT these days, as is the Datsun 240/260/280Z, Porsche 911 (28 of these live on BAT right now!) and some other usual suspects. So, MikeSimon, your statement is likely correct at any given time!

It is fun to read all the "experts" comments. especially the one from CA. "This seems to be a well sorted (230,250280SL)...etc, etc...

Have to agree with Mike Simon. It is indeed fun (and funny) to read the  expert" commentary.

BAT I think is one of the best indicator of the pulse of the Pagoda market.

I have bought and sold quite a few cars and motorcycles. I would not dare to make a comment about the condition of any offering on-line, be it BaT or not. Especially there, as there seem to be certain sellers who have built themselves a "reputation". Fancy pictures are quite the hype.
I have not bought anything without seeing it myself.

There are two sides to every coin.
I love BaT. There, I said it.
Where else can you sell a 50 year old car in a week if you have a realistic reserve?
BaT has changed the hobby for me.
I've sold 2 cars on BaT (Pagoda and 911 Carrera targa) and I bought one on BaT (Carrera coupe). One of the sales and the purchase were "RNM" - reserve not met) but deals were struck within a few days for both. And when RNM, nobody pays the BaT fee. BaT has changed the hobby/business for many people.
It used to be fun to buy old cars, and a real pain in the butt to sell them.
Now it is easy to sell, as I said, as long as you are realistic.
And hey, I'm one of those "experts" on BaT, so take it easy on me.  ;D
It sounds like BaT is not for some of you, but it is for lots and lots and lots of other people. Just look at how they have grown.
They changed the industry.

I plan to sell a few cars on BAT later this year, for the first time. Possibly 4 and I am considering the 'no reserve' route for all. It seems like a very good proposition to get your offering the most exposure possible.

This must be a couple of terrible days for the W113 experts who "live" on BaT. As of the time of this writing there is not a single 230/250/280SL on BaT. Not a single "seemingly well sorted example"
What a pity.
