Soft top cover
« on: September 01, 2021, 02:17:46 »
Can anyone show me how the front edge of the soft top is finished off? Does the leather wrap around or just finished flush with the edge?
Thanks everyone

Col,

I took these photos when I dismantled my soft top cover -- have not installed new leather.   Hope these tell the story.

Thanks Oz that's perfect.  It also shows proof that there is foam below.  I used 5mm but it would have been better I think if it was 2-3mm foam.

When I did mine I used this: MAGZO Foam Rubber Sheet Rolls, 1/16 Inch Thickness x 12 Inch Width x 4.9 Feet Length Closed Cell Neoprene Rubber with Adhesive Soundproof Padding,Soft/Medium Hardness - Freely Customizable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CJFQ6F9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0Z32T1GKH1RQN3G4D0SW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It isn’t an easy piece to do. I remember a fair bit of cursing.  I do remember the MB-tex (in my case) wrapping under at the ends.
