How many 1968 280 sl manual transmission produced ??

Hello .
By any chance does anyone know how many 4 speed manual transmissions were produced in total of the w113 or specifically for the 68 year ? I have one and am just curious so I can have more info .

I believe we are curious too. You can guess based on late vin numbers for manuals and automatics - try to arrive at a ratio and estimate the number.

I think it changed over the time of production. While 230SLs probably had overall more manuals, late 280SLs probably had more automatics.
