Transmission oil cooler line brackets
« on: September 20, 2021, 18:51:26 »
1969 280sl USA Version automatic
I am installing the transmission cooler lines for my car
I am still sourcing new OEM lines or new remade lines.
I need all new brackets

Tell me if I am mistaken

I need 'm' bracket. I think its p/n is 111 995 1232
I need two of its bushings. I could not find its p/n but here is a link  https://www.sls-hh-shop.de/main/de/mercedes-300-500sl-r129-1-gen-/27-automatikgetriebe-w4a-040-1-gen-/schutzt-ller-lrohr-automatik-p-4265
I also need its bracket which I cannot find a p/n for.

I think I need two 'split' brackets for the front mounts p/n 120 995 0005
Do these 'split' brackets attach to something or simply bolt the two lines to each other?

If you can find my missing p/n it would be great.
Is there anything else I need?

These pictures came from a different car's lines. If it is my only choice, I will send these out to be copied.

I also already bought two new rubber lines for the ends that connect into the radiator

Edward, to start with the rubber bushings:

A 112 997 02 81 replaced with A 112 997 02 81 64, available, you need 6. Thicker lines.

A 112 997 03 81, available, you need 2. Thinner lines (vacuum).

AS for the brackets, it will be tricky as they are not easy to come by (maybe some of the Members here would have it or Authentic Classic):

Anyway, from the parts list:

The M bracket A 111 995 12 32, NLA at Mercedes. You need 2.

The line holding clamp (bigger) A 120 995 00 05, NLA. You need 4.

The line holding bracket, smaller A 120 995 00 05, NLA. You need 2. This is the one shown as 10mm in SLS. They may interchange with the previous one.

The L shaped one A 111 277 04 40, NLA, you need 1.

For identifying part numbers, if you do not have access to parts lists, Niemoeller is better: https://www.niemoeller.de/en/w113/w113/B044/276

They just sometimes provide old PNs that do not work anymore, but would be found in parts list to determine replacement.

I am attaching is some pics from Members they were kind enough to place on the Forum over years. Ignore Polish comments.
