Has anyone gotten a trade offer?

I know this is a bit trivial but as I was driving my car in stop and go traffic yesterday on the Capitol Beltway, a newer Inifiniti FX45 pulled up beside me and the driver stuck his head out to offer me an earful about how much he loved my car.  I thanked him and moved on, only to find out that he followed me off my exit ramp a few miles away and offered a straight-up trade of his one-month old Infinti for my Pagoda.

I turned him down but was flattered by the offer nonetheless.

Which prompted me to wonder what others have been offered for their cars and has anyone ever been made an offer the couldn't refuse?  Just curious.

On Saturday I saw a stunning BMW 330i cabriolet, late model...drop dead gorgeous...with two very stunning women inside, also drop dead gorgeous.  I'd be willing to entertain trade offers but they never came.

I am ashamed to tell this one but here goes...

One time, several years back now -- I made a decision -- I was gonna sell the 230SL...I had been neglecting it and it was looking pretty tired. I made up a "for sale" sign and put it in the window. I drove down the street -- and within a mile some guy literally flagged me down. Said he wanted it. I was at a stop sign... Scribbled me his number to get back to him.

I got home and I confess, I tossed the number and the for sale sign in the garbage. If anyone wanted it that bad, I was keepin' it! Have been pouring TLC into it ever since... No regrets (except I stiffed the guy)...
