Full overhaul. 1st oversize pistons, new valves, guides, polished crank and cam.....
Refinished all the auxiliary components.
Injection pump is still on my workbench.
Here is a pic from end of April. I had to wait for proper (230) set of pistons to arrive.

Of course I know, I spent countless hours doing it.
First I covered it all, every nook and cranny. Than I went to town cleaning and prepping  it. Finishing coat was applied by hand with the soft 1 inch brush. Auxiliary elements are either powder coated or wet blasted.

POR 15 gloss black was the product I used.
Just don’t paint over rust if you wish to achieve lasting results! 😀

My bench has never been such a mess and I’m replacing pistons and bearings.

Well, my compressor packed it up. Since I have to wait for some parts to put on my nice shiny crank I decided to make some apple mousse. 🍿

Sure, I'll dig them up. work was completed few month back. I was referring to my compressor crank here.

In meantime I got the filters done. Last seal showed up on Friday. Here is the link;

Where did you find that fan? Although it looks like it would fit properly, it's not a MB fan.

I made some major strides in the past few weeks.
Today was the icing on the cake. Oil pressure test. I may have a short clip later. I just don’t want to waste time on the computer while I’m on the roll.

123 ignition installed.
Original distributor is almost ready and will be installed when engine is ready to go in the car.
