The 2021 Miss Universe pageant opened with the reigning winner driving a powder blue Pagoda in what must have been a desert in Israel.  Based on the interior (steering wheel and door locks) I’d say it was a 230SL.  A beautiful young woman and a befitting lovely car!

Sorry, not a Miss Universe as far as I know. Could not find any photo of the 2020 Miss U in a Pagoda but this is my contribution.

I also looked for a Mister Universe in a Pagoda, or any Mercedes, but could not find an attractive enough photo ...

When Ireppond mentioned it, I started looking online. YES the Miss Universe was held this year in Eilat, Israel. The "full broadcast" is available on YouTube--so they say--but it does not seem to have said clip. However, the full broadcast has something like 30 minutes of "waiting for show to begin" blank space, so maybe it was only live...

That photo above shows one set of angles on the CAR that really intrigues me -  the edge of the wheel is straight up and then then the flair from the wheel well arches outwards and then all the little angles of the fender radius heading in the other direction to end up with the windshield at a totally opposite angle.  And somehow it all flows.
